Bringing smiles to the children in Chen Su Lan Methodist Children’s Home

As part of our social engagement initiatives, the team at Trelleborg’s marine and infrastructure’s operation in Singapore has reached out to Chen Su Lan Methodist Children’s Home on 9th September with a sumptuous lunch buffet and gift packs for the children.

The home is a voluntary welfare organization that provides shelter, care and protection to children aged between 5 and 21 years old from low income, broken, dysfunctional or abusive families in Singapore.

Despite the safe management measures which prohibited the team from interacting with the children onsite, Steven Kwok and his team were determined to ensure the continuity of our CSR initiatives by giving back to the local community.

Over a virtual get-together with the organizer, where both parties exchanged notes on each other’s missions and goals, the team was greatly inspired and was reminded that our collective efforts can culminate in bringing positive change to the larger community.

Steven Kwok, General Manager of Trelleborg’s marine and infrastructure’s operation in Singapore says: “Giving cultivates our self-worth. Seeing the children’s smiling faces that are filled with gratitude and hope makes it all worthwhile. We hope what we are doing can inspire other operations in our BU as they also embark on their social engagement journeys.”
