Trelleborg celebrates Australia’s Business Clean Up Day

By Ryan Abbott, Managing Director, Trelleborg’s marine and infrastructure operation, Australia

In support of Australia’s ‘Business Clean Up Day’, a day of environmental action with Australian citizens and businesses cleaning and conserving our communities to benefit the environment, myself, HR Manager Neera Khatiwada and Manufacturing Manager Leigh Rebbeck recruited 20 of our colleagues at Trelleborg’s marine and infrastructure operation in Australia recently (March 1st) to perform a beach clean-up at Melbourne’s Jells Park and Mordiallac Beach. At the end of the session, collectively we managed to fill up almost 20 bags full of recyclables items and plastic waste scattered around Jells Park and Mordialloc Beach.

Working towards a more sustainable future by investing time and resources into new initiatives to support the communities within which we operate and is part of prioritizing sustainability above everything we do. I’m delighted and immensely appreciative of the tireless efforts of everyone who has participated in this initiative to make a positive impact on our community and the environment.
